Two weeks ago we brought the Bison Expansion to our Avatar Legends DLC, and the response from our community has been awesome! We love being able to build on our games with free updates, and that’s only possible because of your support; thank you for showing the update so much love. For those who haven’t had a chance to play it yet, I wanted to take this moment to give you a rundown on what’s new in the Bison Expansion:
Your Flying Bison
The focal point for this update is the addition of the player’s sky bison! After completing the tutorial duel, a cutscene will take you to the bison stables where where Master Tenzin will give you an apple. This item will allow you to choose a new fluffy friend that will accompany you on your journey! Each baby bison’s horns will grow out in a different style, so be sure to choose wisely.
Once a bison is chosen, you will receive the Bison Whistle which will give you the option to fast travel or return your bison to you if you forgot where you parked. Now you’re ready to take to the skies!
Raising Your Bison
Once you’ve tamed your bison, it’s time to tend to their needs! Not unlike a real pet, your bison has different moods that are displayed in the thought bubble above their head to help point you in the right direction. Respond to their needs by interacting with your companion, allowing them to gain experience and grow!
Raising your bison will increase the speed and amount of time they can soar through the skies on your adventures, which is indicated via your Chi meter.
Customizing Your Bison
Unlike your bison’s horns, their hairstyle and saddles can be switched up to give them a new look! To switch your bison’s hairstyle, all you need to do is use the Air Blade bending technique on them to give them a haircut (don’t worry, this won’t hurt them!)
Saddles are collectibles that can be found on your travels, and there is one saddle for each kingdom to scoop up! You can change your saddle by using the Bison Customizer on Air Temple Island.
Collectibles
In addition to the saddles you can find to customize your bison, we have also hidden another collectible throughout the world. It’s your bison’s favourite snack, the Moon Peach! You can feed these delicious treats to your bison to give them extra experience and, more importantly, to make them happy.
